Healthy Eating is Easy with Wendy’s Harvest Chicken Salad

Thanks to Wendy’s for sponsoring this post. All opinions are 100% my own.

As a mom, fall is a busy particularly busy time of year. We spend so much time taking care of everyone else that our own needs often fall to the bottom of our priority list. Juggling work, school and everything else can make it challenging to prepare healthy meals for ourselves. That’s why Wendy’s salads make it easy to do a little something special for yourself. You have to check out the new Harvest Chicken Salad.

Wendy’s New Harvest Chicken Salad

Last year I tried a few of the Wendy’s salads and this year I am LOVING the new Harvest Chicken Salad! This is the first time Wendy’s has introduced a fall salad. The seasonally inspired flavors are delicious with quality ingredients you’ve come to expect in a Wendy’s salad:

  • Wendy’s crisp signature lettuce blend
  • Brown sugar walnuts
  • Marzetti® Simply Dressed® Apple Cider Vinaigrette
  • Warm, freshly grilled chicken,
  • Savory Applewood smoked bacon
  • Feta cheese
  • Sweet slices of red and green apples

Is The Harvest Chicken Salad Fresh?

Yup! No need to worry about quality either. Wendy’s Salads are made in-restaurant daily with fresh fruits and vegetables, while also enjoying its savory, fall flavors, is a small win that can help get you through a long day. I mean look at this salad! No other fast food salad I’ve ever tried looks this good.

What Makes The Harvest Chicken Salad Good For You?

Glad you asked. According to Wendy’s “A full-size Harvest Chicken Salad contains ½ cup of fruit and 1 ¾ cups of vegetables per “My Plate” guidance. Overall, delivering over 2 cups of fruits and veggies in your salads.” The grilled chicken provides a lean protein and the walnuts provide omega-3’s and antioxidants. And of course, an apple a day keeps the doctor away.

A full size salad has 570 calories with 5 grams of fiber and 42 grams of protein. It’s a whopper that will keep you full for hours or you can eat half and save some for later. You can also order a half salad for 320 calories.

Why I love Wendy’s Salads

I love that Wendy’s Salads are a convenient and affordable option for any hard-working mom like me. After all, what mom isn’t super busy and hard-working? We deserve a reward that won’t break the bank. A similar salad at most sit-down restaurants would be at least double the cost. And who has time for that anyway?

I also love that I can swing by my local Wendy’s, pick up a Harvest Chicken Salad and have it by my side while I get work done. It’s also a great option for dinner. Last night, I picked up 2 for my husband and I to have for dinner. We had a back-to-school night so there was no time to cook.

Healthy Mom, Healthy Family

As moms, it’s important to be role models for our kids. If my kids see me eating grab-and-go junk food, they are more likely to make the same choices. When they see me eating Wendy’s salads, they know I cam taking care of myself even during the busiest days. While they may not be salad eaters yet, they have tried a bite or two. One step at a time, right?
